Beacon Hill Music (The Smiths and a Regan)

We are a group of students at LOHS who have put together not just a band, but a musical project in which we all hope to grow musically and have great experiences. Our band, Beacon Hill, was created by us in January of 2011 and we have been growing ever since. We all bring in different aspects of music into the band. Even though we all have different personalities, we still work together very well and we are looking forward to a great future with this project.

12/15/11

This is Christian.

Our band's Google project came to an end on Tuesday when we played a live setlist for our final presentation to the class. The songs played were Violent Sky, Grass and Broken. The latter was written during class and may not have surfaced without the project. We aren't sure yet whether the project will continue into next semester, though I hope it does. We've learned a lot about songwriting and musical mindset, and have become better musicians.

Today we decided which songs we'd use for our project presentation, polished and practiced, and made major headway on a new song using lyrics I wrote last night.
